Shades of red

Here you can see various ads with different shades of red hair! If you ever wanted to try and go red if you aren't naturally you can print one out for your colorist. The orange-tints are more natural if you are very fair like me!

Eyebrow tutorial

I get a lot of questions about my eyebrows so I will answer them here!

Home based dye kits DO NOT recommend eye brow dying so I do not recommend this unless you know the risks.

so.... with that disclaimer what I do is really carefully apply with one finger and check up on it every 5 minutes- see how the color is bleeding in the picture above? I had to take a paper towel and wipe the edges- you don't want this stuff in your eye!

also on the be careful note I DO NOT recomment dying any other hair anywhere- it's just too dangerous and risky! That includes the rest of your :::cough::: cough:::: body hair!

More Childhood Red Head Heroes!

I didn't realize Red Fraggle is actually considered a red head. She was my childhood hero! Jim Henson's epic show as on HBO from 1983-1987. Fraggle Rock is on DVD and watching them now was hilarious. Red was my favortie because she was so friendly and energetic. Shd is also really talkative and loud, like me LOL. Uncle Traveling Matt calls her "that crazy red head" more then once. Red is also a hoarder with a ton of crap in her cave and definetly is a classic example of fiery red head with her short fuse and impatient nature! She is really funny though!

Cotterpin Doozer is one of the 6 inch little green characters that inhabit Fraggle Rock and make crystaline structures the Fraggles eat. Red's BFF Cotterpin is also a Fiery Red head with a strong personality and thinks for herself even refusing to become a traditional Doozer and just work. She wants to design! She even gets into a fight and beats up a boy Doozer who says negative things about her dad!

strange compliments

Every time I dye my hair again to revitalize it I get mountains of compliments. One was fromt his sketchy old dude who kept asking if it was real. Another was from a cute senior lady who said she used to be a red head and got all the boys because of it! The majority of people who ask are from ethnic groups where red hair does not exist! They must find it exotic.

Strawberry Festival

So at the Garden Grove, CA Strawberry Festival they hold a red head contest. I entered for sake of trying to pass off as a real red head. My age catergory put in in with 2 other girls. We all had to walk across the stage and answer random questions about why we entered and where we were from etc..They also had catergories such as :

most freckles
best Strawberry Blonde

Baby red head
Jr. red head

I lost to another girl with dyed hair. Mine was a better color but hers was fluffier. I need to fluff more next time, barrel curling iron and I have a date next year. I shall win! That gold strawberry-on top trophy will sit on my desk damnit! I think I would feel guily actually, I mean if I lost to a REAL red head, but it's fun to really fool people. The woman sitting nect to me asked if I loved or hated having red hair as a kid. Ahhhhh well.............To make her insecure daughter feel better I said I always loved it. Well, I always wanted red hair...

I get hit on 2.4 more then when I had brown hair...

Ok the number one question I get about my hair is "Is it real?" Why do people ask my that so much, does it look fake, is is to good to be true??? I had a guy shout across this intersection, diagonal from me "Is your hair real?" WFT what an opening line? I mean is this a "does the carpet match the drapes?" question? Do men want to know if my genetic material is pure for future offspring? Do blondes get asked this a lot? Imput please here from men, please comment!
