I get hit on 2.4 more then when I had brown hair...
Ok the number one question I get about my hair is "Is it real?" Why do people ask my that so much, does it look fake, is is to good to be true??? I had a guy shout across this intersection, diagonal from me "Is your hair real?" WFT what an opening line? I mean is this a "does the carpet match the drapes?" question? Do men want to know if my genetic material is pure for future offspring? Do blondes get asked this a lot? Imput please here from men, please comment!
Speed dating and Coffee Bean
So I was at this speed dating event and met this guy with long, poofy red hair and a goatee. We spent out 3 minute date discussing various shades of red "we" come in. He never questioned if it was real or not which was refreshing. Usually on a date I get asked the first question "Is that real" or "wow were you like that as a kid?" I have to decide whether to tell my shameful secret or just go with it. With this guy it was no problem.
At the Coffee Bean later on this old creepy guy said "Wow with red hair like that you're bound to stand out" or something close to that. Ummmm thanks... creepy dude
so it was a two-fer day of red head comments... though it belonged on the blog...

Variations on Red

Here are some variations on red with the same bottle of color. The top one is brighter and was taken the first day. The second one down is a about 4 days in, so you can see where it fades fast but isn't so fake looking. The one with me infront of the white flowers is about a week later and the one with my hair in bun is about 3 weeks after coloring where it is more of an auburn now. That photo was taken for a Halloween party.supplies and coloring advice

If you also want to go red here is some advice-If you're a light to medium brunette I recommend getting it done professionally first if you're scared how it will look. The salon can mix a custom color. The trick is to have an orange red not a purple red. You want a copper warm color. I recommend after you do it professionally and want to try it at home these supplies:
I recommend for an orange red -Feria 74 deep copper. It is very bright when you first do it but it will fade in about 5 days to a more natural color. - I get mine at CVS or Target.
the developer it comes with is about a 10 stength. If you do your hair and it's brown underneath you will need something stronger. I recommend these as they do not burn. I replace the 10 developer in the container it comes in with the 30 at the same level of fullness in bottle. You can start with a 20 strenth as well, everyone is different. DO NOT go to a 40 it's too strong.
Jerome Russell Cream Peroxide 30- got at CVS
Satin 30- I got this a beauty supply store
if your scalp burns discontinue, mine tingles a little bit. I wear goggles actually and when I do my eyebrows I do it very carefully and keep the goggles on. DO NOT do on pubic hair, leg hair, eyelashes etc... there is a reason for the warning on the box! I follow directions in box as usual for time for roots, washing and conditioning.
any questions just email me!
